I originally made it to be all X's, (at least that's what I saw it as) got it made , hung it on the sales rack very pleased with myself as all new designs and ideas don't turn out as I envision them.
Then a customer came in and said "Hey that's a cool belt with the white O's on it". I said "Which one"?.....he showed me and I said, "Well I'll be DamXXX", isn't that weird, and the rest is history....it's been a very fun belt in my life, and it can be for you too.

As with all my (Real Leather Shop) belts, they are hand cut out of double shoulder hides, vegetable tanned USA leather, they are stripped into belt blanks then, stamped, dyed, waxed, antiqued, waxed two more times, edges are wet then burnished to a smooth edge and edged with a special edge finish, the color is fast and will not lighten up, in fact it will slowly darken with age.
The more you use it the better it looks.

The belt leather can be dyed any color it doesn't have to black ( see drop down menu)

Person's Name can be Stamped on also.

A few words about sizing of a Belt, see picture #5 in the photos.

A belt is considered as sized correctly if the center hole is within 3/4 inch of the stated size.
The reason the holes are seldom exactly what the size is stated, is the leather has to be gotten very wet to stamp, then when it dries it will come back to near it's original length but not exact. When there is design involved all we can do is give it our best guess as to exactly the size it will end up. It is seldom a big issue because we get it as right as can be most of the time.

As a general rule you get a belt that's 2" (inches) bigger than your pants size...if you wear a 34 inch pant waist, you would get a 36" belt.

BUT.....BUT.....BUT, (there's always a BUT)...the above rule is accurate ONLY if you use a standard TONG style buckle. (This is the style I give with my belts if you ask for a buckle)

If you have what is called a TROPHY style buckle (that's a flat oblong or rectangle buckle with a short peg on the back that goes through the hole in the belt), you would get a belt the SAME size as your pants waist. Because the longer buckle adds the 2" to the belt. If you use this style buckle and it seams to be longer than 3 to 4 inches, send me a picture of it with a tape measure next to it so I can see just how large it is and I'll adjust the belt accordingly for you.

I no longer include a keeper with the belt. And haven't for over 10 years.
The reason behind that is two-fold, with most jeans nowadays the 1st belt loop is so close to the pants snap and zipper, it's actually in the way of the keeper. So it simply isn't needed. I probably get only a couple of request a year for one, and secondly the cost of leather just keeps going up and up, so to help save cost I stopped giving the keepers. At my live shows I have them available for $2.00.
